Original License Date reflects the date that an individual was first issued the indicated license type(s). This date may not reflect the entire length of time an individual has been licensed in real estate and the original license date does not necessarily reflect continuous licensure. For example, there may have been a period of time after a license was originally issued where the license was expired or real estate licensed activities were not authorized to be performed. For individuals who were licensed prior to 1979, the original license date may not be accurate because this preceded the automation of the licensing records.
The Department can perform a manual search of a licensee’s evidentiary records and produce a certified license history, which will reflect the original date of licensure and all subsequent changes to the licensee’s status. In order to obtain this document, a Certified License History Request (RE293) should be submitted with a $20.00 fee.
